The Economic Development Investment Fund (EDIF) was created in the fall of 2008 as an independent 501 (c) (3) organization. We are a non-profit lender established to serve hardworking business owners with access to capital.

We dedicate our energy and resources to providing support to small companies across Florida:

EDIF offers loans to start, grow or improve your business; 

EDIF is a Strategic Alliance Partner of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and can provide you with technical assistance for SBA Loan Guarantees;  

EDIF is a City/State Partner of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and offers funding, insurance and guidance for your export projects;

We recognize that job creation and economic recovery are important issues we need to work on as a nation. Put people back to work, support companies expand and help entrepreneurs look for markets overseas are primary goals for our organization.

We firmly believe that small businesses play a critical role in straitening the economy and helping our country compete in today’s global marketplace.

We are looking to engage more business owners who can build the next generation of great American companies. Incentives to support the business community include helping start, maintain and expand good projects and deploy more capital in the hands of outstanding entrepreneurs. 

EDIF’s lending programs include special assistance for minority/women/veteran owned businesses as well as for microentrepreneurs located in rural areas.
